ABOUT DAYMARK RECOVERY SERVICES, INC. UNION CENTER

Daymark Recovery Services, Inc. operates a network of 33 facilities in North Carolina that provide crisis intervention and outpatient services for individuals of all ages dealing with mental health conditions, substance abuse issues, and dual diagnosis. The Union Center in Monroe, North Carolina, provides outpatient treatment, psychiatric and medical services, and crisis intervention.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Treatment at Union Center begins with begins with a substance abuse and psychiatric evaluation. Evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavior therapy and dialectic behavior therapy is incorporated into treatment. Clients will participate in group counseling, medication management, and psychotherapy.

Services at Daymark are for children older than age three and older. The substance abuse intensive outpatient program (SAIOP) includes individual and group counseling and relapse prevention. Clients will participate in IOP a minimum of nine hours per week.

Union Center provides Intensive in-home programming for children and adolescents dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues. Referrals to community resources and first responder crisis intervention may be included.

Psychiatric services include evaluations and medication management.

Union Center’s staff includes a director who oversees counselors, clinicians, registered nurses, case managers, psychiatrists, and peer support specialists.

On Indeed, 35 reviewers gave an average four out of five stars, with individuals calling Daymark an excellent place to learn clinical skills, though some complained of high turnover. An anonymous clinician commented: “Very busy inpatient detox program, good to learn a wide range of clinical cases…Work place needs improvement in space to work to facilitate and protect the client’s confidentiality.”

However, 18 reviewers on Glassdoor gave an average rating of 2.5 out of five stars. Individuals complained of problems with upper management, though several cited free clinical training classes.
