ABOUT LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER – HOPE AND RECOVERY CENTER

Since its founding as a nonprofit in 1971, LifeStream has grown into a comprehensive, 21-facility behavioral health and social services organization. Located in the small city of Leesburg, Fla., LifeStream’s Hope and Recovery Center offers residential substance abuse treatment for adults, as well as outpatient services for adults and adolescents. A separate facility in Leesburg provides detoxification services.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Housed at the Hope and Recovery Center, Adult Choice, the 16-bed residential substance abuse program specializes in treating adults with addiction or co-occurring mental health disorders. Clients participate in 10 hours of treatment a week, along with educational groups and recreational activities.

The facility also houses the Road to Home program, which offers short-term residential treatment to adults with severe mental illness. Treatment is designed to help clients step down to less structured care as soon as possible, and includes the development of recovery, communication, and self-care skills.

Additionally, there are various outpatient options at the Hope and Recovery Center. A stage-based program called the Turnabout program offers individual and family counseling for substance abusing adolescents. The facility’s Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC) program offers preventative education and counseling to minor offenders in the justice system. Another program, Crossroads II, provides outpatient family, group, and individual therapy. The facility also offers adult and child case management services.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The treatment team includes psychiatrists, nurses, and advanced registered nurse practitioners, as well as psychologists, psychiatric technicians, social workers, case managers, and counselors.
