ABOUT THE TREATMENT CENTER OF THE PALM BEACHES

The Treatment Center of the Palm Beaches (TTC), in Palm Beach, Fla., offers a full continuum of care for teens and adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Services include medically-assisted detox, residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and outpatient program (OP). There also is a faith-based treatment track, court-liaison services, and programming for individuals with chronic pain.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Clients undergo a comprehensive assessment to receive an individualized treatment plan, which may include medically-monitored detox. TTC is one of the 10.2% of facilities in Florida that offer residential detox. During residential treatment, clients participate in a structured schedule of individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, and 12-step programming.

Along with a range of evidence-based practices, TTC offers various holistic modalities, including massage therapy, yoga, and meditation. Although adolescents ages 13 and 17 adhere to a similar curriculum, the adolescent program also incorporates age-appropriate life skills training and academic support.

Outpatient services may be used as a stand-alone or step-down service from inpatient treatment. Whether a client participates in PHP, IOP, or OP, clients generally remain in the program for at least eight weeks. Treatment consists of individual, group, and family therapy, as well as mindfulness activities, specialized groups for trauma and grief, and alternative therapies, such as music therapy and Tai Chi.

  • The Treatment Center is what I would expect from a private facility! Most employees have been through addiction! They are always around so no drugs are able to come in! They don't allow detox patients to be alone till out of detox. They had lots of classes every day of the week, including weekends and each week is different!

  • The Treatment Center was sold well by the admissions staff, but treatment was poorly delivered. The primary therapist I was assigned was never available and the primary group we were assigned was constantly facilitated by a different therapist which no relationship or trust had been built. The food was poor, and volume exceeded capacity measures resulting in no seating for groups and people sleeping in common areas.

  • The Treatment Center Fees included air line tickets to Florida and home again they have a driver pick you up at the airport and take you to the center. Detox is performed at the facility. You are treated as an individual and not pushed through a system like state facilities. My son is able to call and talk to a counselor at any time. The Treatment Center was very helpful in explaining to me as a mother what was going on and what to expect. The counselors have been a big support for me and helped me in making a decision to send my 18 year old out of state for help. I am an emergency room nurse and refer The Treatment Center all the time. My son learned so much and is very thankful that he had the opportunity to receive treatment there. It was very important for me to send him to the best place possible. I only wanted my son and family to go through this once. I can not thank them enough.....I got my son back. When I flew out for the family retreat I could not believe my eyes when I saw my son, all my worries of him being so far away instantly dissipated. We were able to sit and talk to each other, which we had not done in a long time. The Treatment Center is a Dual Diagnosis facility, they have physicians on staff that monitor and medicate you through a safe detox. counselor, therapists, techs where all top notch. techs are all recovered addicts and can relate to clients. They did not FORCE clients to go to meetings. they were able to pick and choose what they wanted to be involved in. (which helps with success). Most places don't allow smoking or only at certain times. the treatment center does not restrict smoking. they have multiple activities: volleyball, going to the ocean, movies for massages ect. they have alumni parties, parties for special occasions like super bowl. the food is top notch. which included steak, frog legs, crocodile, crab, lobster, tuna steaks, ect. the facility was clean and odor free. outdoor space was plentiful.
