ABOUT VALLEY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Valley Behavioral Health, located in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a comprehensive facility dedicated to addressing substance abuse issues and co-occurring mental health disorders. The center offers outpatient and residential programs for both adults and children.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Prior to admission at Valley Behavioral Health, clients undergo an assessment by case managers who recommend an appropriate treatment plan. The center provides specialized programs tailored to individual needs, including intensive dual-diagnosis treatment, addiction intervention, gender-specific programs, services for patients 55 years and older, trauma-based treatment, and services for individuals with criminal records.

The outpatient program at Valley Behavioral Health offers a range of treatment options such as diagnostic evaluation, individual, family, and group therapy, counseling, medication evaluation and management, skills training, case management, peer services, and crisis intervention.

Valley’s residential program, which accounts for 29 percent of the 70 residential facilities in Utah, offers treatment for injury and homelessness, as well as specialized care for individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders. Additionally, the center provides a unique treatment program specifically designed for pregnant women struggling with substance use and addiction recovery.

In addition to its treatment programs, Valley Behavioral Health offers relapse prevention services to identify and prevent high-risk situations.

Understands underlying causes for drug use,” but also noted, “Medical records were inaccurate and I was unable to correct them.”
