TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck uses evidence-based treatment options aimed at helping clients learn new healthy coping skills to gain lasting sobriety. These modalities include neuropsychology, psychotherapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and more.
There are separate PHP programs for adults and adolescents, both of which are held five days per week. Only 33.3% of facilities in North Dakota offer programs for adolescents]. The programs feature individual and group therapy, occupational therapy, education, and nursing services. Just under 39% of facilities across the country offer job training programs.
The goal is to help clients achieve mental and emotional stabilization and learn the skills necessary for a sober life. There is also an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that adds a weekly family program to educate and support loved ones.
Aftercare services are also available. The facility works with clients to plan aftercare services that help clients transition back into the community. In addition, the psychiatry center offers residential programs for adults who require a more intensive level of care. Chemical dependency programs for senior adults are also available.
