ABOUT JETT MORGAN TREATMENT SERVICES, LLC

Founded in 2011 and located in downtown Anchorage, Alaska, Jett Morgan Treatment Services, LLC provides assessments, outpatient care, and continuing care services for men and women age 18 and over who are struggling with substance abuse and alcoholism. Priority admission is given to pregnant women, IV drug users, and HIV positive individuals. Additionally, this center accepts court-ordered clients.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Treatment starts with a thorough assessment based on the American Society of Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria and the DSM 5.

The duration and intensity of treatment varies from client to client, but for general outpatient care the length is between one and eight hours per week, over a period of one to 12 months. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) requires at least nine hours of treatment a week for three months.

The primary mode of treatment is psychoeducational group counseling. This treatment draws on clients’ skills and focuses on strengths, goals, developing positive relationships, and abstinence. Programs also use evidence-based treatment models, including individual counseling, case management, anger management, referrals, skills-based group counseling, and on-site alcohol and drug testing.

Jett Morgan does not use the 12-Steps, though clients who are enrolled in 12-step groups are welcome to continue attending them during their time at Jett Morgan. Its treatment focuses on client strengths to empower them and to put them at the center of the treatment methodology. The concept behind the treatment model is known as “the neuroscience of change.” Counseling is based on a motivational, goal-oriented style called “Stages of Change Model.” The center also provides relapse prevention training using the popular models of researchers Marlatt and Gorski.

There is also a 12-hour Alcohol and Drug Information School program.

Aftercare services that range in intensity and duration are available as well, lasting from one to three hours a month for three to six months.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

At the time of this writing, three alumni have provided Best-rehabs.com with feedback about their experiences with Jett Morgan Treatment Services, LLC. Of the three alumni polled, two gave the facility five out of five stars for its overall treatment effectiveness.

The third reviewer left no stars, acknowledging that the treatment was effective, but remarking that more one-on-one treatment was needed. This alum, M.E., indicated that her reason for entering the facility was “family intervention,” and that she ended up leaving the program before it was complete. However, M.E. gave five-star ratings to the facility’s holistic offerings and the counselors’ level of training and experience.
“The counselors there were very supportive and they have been through the system before and are rehabilitated,” M.E. added.

One of the two positive reviewers, R.S., gave five stars as well for accommodations & amenities, family participation, and affordability. He selected “strongly agree” when polled about whether or not the staff was well-trained and whether or not he would recommend this program to others. Additionally, he appreciated the untraditional treatment program, writing, “They don’t do the 12 step program which i like.”

The other anonymous alum commented, “It was a great treatment for me.”

At the time of this writing, the facility received 4.6 out of five stars from 10 reviewers on Facebook.[1] Most of the alumni simply claim that the program is “awesome.” Alum Eydie commented, “Love your teaching style and how you respect all of your clients and staff.”

It was a great treatment for me.
The counselors there were very supportive and they have been through the system before and are rehabilitated so they seek to help others they are also insistent on clients being there when they should and concerned about each individual but will not be forceful or disrespectful but they are going to tell you like it is and you are let known that you have to grow and especially cope.
