At the Residential level of care, clients live on-site with 24-hour support and supervision. With 6 clients per home, Evolve is able to instill strength in our teens through physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Evolve’s treatment focuses on adolescent Substance Abuse, Mental Health, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Asperger’s, ODD, ADHD and OCD. Through DBT, we teach the skills to regulate emotions and improve impulse control. Our evidence based treatment includes dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavioral analysis (ABA), 12-step support and family therapy. Clients receive regular individual sessions with their licensed primary therapist, psychiatric evaluations and psychological testing, if needed. We maintain a setting that provides a sense of security, while simultaneously providing a nurturing environment that includes comfortable living quarters, school area, fully equipped gym, swimming pool, chef, ample grounds, basketball, tennis and/or volleyball courts, ping-pong and more. Our staff provides the highest caliber of care in the most compassionate and humanistic way. The clinical staff is comprised of a psychiatrist, nurses, and licensed therapists. Our counseling staff is comprised of experienced counselors and certified recovery coaches, all of whom bring a diverse and eclectic background to the treatment experience. For our potential clients, we want you to learn that you will have fun in recovery! We do this by offering experiential therapies including art, equine, music and surf. You will engage in personal exploration through culinary arts, boxing, gardening, hiking, meditation, physical fitness, sports and much, much more. ABOUT EVOLVE TREATMENT CENTERS AGOURA HILLS
Based in Southern California, Evolve Treatment Centers provides a continuum of care for adolescents ages 12 to 17 struggling with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. Its Agoura Hills facility, located 30 miles west of downtown Los Angeles, provides an upscale residential program with no on-site detoxification. In California, 22.2 percent of substance abuse facilities have specially tailored programs for adolescents.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission, clients participate in an initial assessment to identify their needs. Evolve Treatment Center’s programming combines evidence-based treatment methods and 12-step immersion with holistic and experiential treatments. The length of residential treatment is determined individually, however, a typical stay is around 45 days.
Utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), individual and group counseling sessions address underlying causes of substance use to help clients modify behavior. Process and commitment groups help residents improve communication skills, identify strengths, and set recovery goals. Clients regularly attend 12-step meetings. In addition, the facility provides family counseling sessions and multi-family support groups.
Residents with co-occurring mental health difficulties meet with a consulting psychiatrist for evaluations and ongoing medication management. To help ensure residents continue their education, the Agoura Hills facility provides testing and instruction through an online curriculum, as well as career and college counseling and student advocacy.
Along with traditional programming, residents participate in mindful-based stress reduction (MBSR) activities, including mindful walking, cooking classes, meditation, and yoga sessions. Residents also engage in experiential therapies, such as equine therapy, surfing, exercise regimens, boxing classes, social outings, as well as music and art therapy.

Evolve Treatment Centers is accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Its multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, nurses, licensed therapist, masters-level interns, and recovery coaches. The Agoura Hills facility provides a client-to-staff ratio of 3:1.

Located in a tree-lined residential neighborhood, the Agoura Hills facility, which serves six teenagers at a time, is an upscale two-story, four-bedroom complex. It features well-appointed bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, school instructional area with computers, fully-equipped gym, state-of-the-art recording studio, lagoon-styled pool with waterfalls and a slide, an outdoor grilling area with wood-burning pizza oven, basketball courts, green space with patios, and an on-site chef.
