ABOUT MFI RECOVERY CENTER – MURRIETA
MFI Recovery Center provides mental health and substance abuse treatment to adults, women with children, and adolescents. The Murrieta facility offers outpatient, and intensive outpatient programming (IOP) for those dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
Detoxification and residential treatment is available through other MFI Recovery Center locations. The center operates three facilities for women including one in Riverside and another in San Jacinto and two opiate detox centers.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Clients will undergo an initial substance abuse assessment to determine an appropriate level of care. MFI Recovery Center implements evidence-based treatment approaches in its intensive outpatient program (IOP) and traditional outpatient program. The center uses cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), behavior modification, and The Matrix Model to determine the underlying causes of addiction.
Clients will participate in 12-step programming and group and individual counseling. Classes on anger management and parenting are also offered as needed. Clients may participate in educational workshops on avoiding triggers, relapse prevention, and coping skills training.
MFI Recovery Center provides an outpatient program for adolescents that is centered on family involvement. The program uses Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT), a treatment plan that helps individuals identify family and environmental factors that contribute to substance abuse. Teens will receive a personalized relapse prevention plan before leaving treatment.
Clients will have an aftercare and relapse prevention plan before leaving treatment. Alumni can participate in continuing care groups after completing treatment.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The two loved ones polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time generally approved of the facility’s staff. One anonymous loved one offered a rating of three out of five stars for the treatment staff’s level of experience and training, while the other loved one praised the staff’s communication skills and compassion.
MFI Recovery Center employs certified counselors and master’s level therapists, a psychiatrist, addiction specialists, and other professionals.

Two loved ones surveyed by Best-rehabs.com gave mostly positive feedback concerning treatment at MFI Recovery Center. One loved one gave the facility mostly five- and four- out of a possible five stars for most categories evaluated. However, they gave a low two-star rating for co-occurring disorders and moderate three-star ratings for the center’s affordability, counseling options, and the visitor’s policy. “Very nice place with a very nice staff,” the anonymous reviewer commented.
The other anonymous loved one wrote: “This facility really helped my loved one and my family through the tough times.”
FINANCING
MFI Recovery Center is in-network with most HMO providers including Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and more. The private pay rate for residential treatment for adult men and women and women with children is $7,500 per month. A sliding scale may be used for individuals who need financial assistance.
