ABOUT WINDMOOR HEALTHCARE OF CLEARWATER
Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater is a behavioral healthcare facility in Clearwater, Florida that provides a full continuum of treatment for addiction and mental health disorders. The center treats individuals struggling with substance abuse, gambling compulsion, andconditions. Programs include stabilization, residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, and services.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Although crisis stabilization services are available, Windmoor’s substance abuse treatment is intended for individuals who have already undergone detox and are no longer experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Inpatient treatment, the center’s most intensive treatment option, lasts for 28 days and begins with a thorough assessment and evaluation.
Based on evaluation findings, clients begin an individualized course of treatment that includes medical and psychiatric treatment and medication management, along with psycho-educational and psychotherapy groups that address topics including self-esteem, stress management, decision making, and coping skills.
Partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment may be used as a less expensive and more flexible alternative to residential care, or as step-down treatment option for those who complete inpatient treatment. Weekly groups and 12-step recovery groups like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are held on-site.
According to Windmoor’s website, the multidisciplinary treatment team includes an overseeing physician, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors. Five reviewers polled by Best-rehabs.com rated staff’s level of experience and training 4.2 out of five stars.
