ABOUT NORTHPOINTE COUNCIL, INC.
Founded in 1970 and located in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Northpointe Council, Inc. is a non-profit organization that operates an outpatient treatment facility and a residential crisis center for individuals struggling with substance abuse. Northpointe Council also operates a treatment facility in Lockport, N.Y.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to Northpointe Council’s website, the Chemical Dependency Crisis Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The center provides assistance to individuals experiencing problems caused by substance use.
The crisis center offers non-medical detoxification services and a sober environment where residents can safely begin their recovery journey.

Services are also available to individuals referred for treatment by the criminal justice system. The treatment center offers a Methadone Maintenance treatment program, which aims to help clients stop using heroin and other opiate-based drugs without experiencing painful withdrawal symptoms.
Additionally, Northpointe Council provides prevention programs, including drinking driving programs, employee assistance programs, and prevention education.
