ABOUT PARTRIDGE HOUSE
Located on the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation beside the Canadian border, in rural New York State, Partridge House offers residential treatment for adult Native American men and women who are struggling with addiction to alcohol and drugs.
Partridge House is the only inpatient program for Native Americans licensed by New York’s Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS).
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment lasts 56 days (eight weeks). The center uses traditional teachings and a non-judgmental approach, in a program designed to help clients to connect with their own power. Treatment is spiritually focused, trauma informed, and holistic, and also includes an introduction to the 12-Steps.
All clients participate in individual counseling and group therapy, as well as gender-specific groups and weekly family education groups that are open to the community.
The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe also offers outpatient services, which are recommended as an aftercare measure. Outpatient services appear to be offered on a general outpatient basis, rather than intensively, and they include treatments for process addictions such as gambling, as well as relapse prevention classes.
