ABOUT COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER
The Community Health Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers detoxification, residential, and outpatient services for adult men and women struggling with substance abuse. In addition, we provide medical care, educational seminars, and housing options along with outpatient services for adolescents. This is a unique offering, as only 31.3 percent of treatment centers in the state provide these services.
The Community Health Center is also among the 30 percent of substance abuse treatment centers in Ohio that offer medication management on-site, including Suboxone and methadone treatment.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The Community Health Center believes that addiction is a disease and provides individualized treatment plans. Our holistic approach includes individual, group, and family counseling, healthcare, and educational seminars. The residential program typically lasts between 90 and 120 days.
We also offer vocational assistance, housing, case management, childcare services, and medical services. Furthermore, we are one of the 43.3 percent of Ohio treatment facilities that offer specialty programming for women. Women who complete the residential program can also transition into sober-living facilities.
Adolescent treatment includes individual and group therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and a specialized group for teen girls. In 2016, 2.16 percent of adolescents ages 12 to 17 in Ohio exhibited alcohol use disorder, and 4.29 percent had substance use disorder. Our detoxification program lasts three to five days, followed by Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) with evening hours.
Detoxification may involve Suboxone and methadone treatment.
