ABOUT MARION AREA COUNSELING CENTER
Located in Marion, Ohio, which is approximately 50 miles north of Columbus, the Marion Area Counseling Center (MACC) offers residential and outpatient treatment services for drug and alcohol abuse through its five Marion-based locations. Detox services are not available on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All potential clients first speak with an intake support specialist, who will arrange for an in-person assessment to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
The Foundations Recovery Center, which is a part of MACC, offers residential treatment for adult men and women. The multi-phased program provides addiction education, group and individual counseling, and an introduction to self-help meetings, along with employment training.
Outpatient services include crisis intervention, a 24-hour crisis call center, individual counseling, family therapy, a behavioral health group, and community support facilitation. The Marion Area Counseling Center also offers a victim assistance program and an employee assistance program, as well as an intensive family preservation program that lasts six to 10 hours a week for a minimum of 90 days.

According to the facility’s website, the treatment team includes a licensed independent social worker and licensed and certified chemical dependency counselors. On Google, MACC received an average rating of 3.8 out of five stars, however none of the reviewers left commentary.
FINANCING

According to HealthGrove, the Center accepts military insurance, state insurance other than Medicaid, and Access to Recovery Vouchers, and offers fees on a sliding scale.
