ABOUT THE COUNSELING CENTER – MARSH HOUSE
The Marsh House, a part of the Counseling Center, Inc., offers outpatient treatment and sober living housing for men who are grappling with chemical dependency. As a component of our community-based addiction treatment service, clients have access to medication-assisted detoxification services on an ambulatory basis.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Our programming integrates 12-step methods with evidence-based treatment. We utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to address addictive behaviors. Additionally, clients will participate in individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
Clients in need of ambulatory detoxification may be prescribed Suboxone or Subutex.
During their stay at Marsh House, residents will attend 12-step meetings and engage in associated step-work. Clients can anticipate weekly drug testing and may have the opportunity to obtain a sponsor.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
According to our organization’s website, the programs at the Counseling Center, Inc. are delivered by “professional, licensed counselors who are committed to the principles of recovery.” Our staff includes house supervisors, program directors, and case managers. In a survey conducted by Best-rehabs.com, three individuals rated the staff’s experience and training with an average of 4.3 out of five stars.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Limited information is available regarding the facility’s accommodations, but The Marsh House is situated in a residential neighborhood and boasts a homelike environment.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
According to feedback gathered from three former clients, the facility’s effectiveness received ratings of four and five out of five stars. Two alumni awarded perfect five-star ratings for accommodations and amenities, while one alumnus identified the lack of amenities as a facility weakness.
