Beckley Comprehensive Treatment Center

Beckley Comprehensive Treatment Center

The Beckley Treatment Center provides medically supervised methadone maintenance and Suboxone (buprenorphine) detoxification treatment for clients addicted to heroin or other opioids. The staff is highly trained, supportive, and sympathetic — they understand the endless cycle of drug addiction and work with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan that’s manageable and effective. Recovery from physical dependence to opiates is possible, and Beckley offers individuals a compassionate and comfortable space to begin the process safely and effectively.

ABOUT BECKLEY CLINIC

Operated by CRC Health, one of the largest behavioral health providers in the United States, Beckley Comprehensive Treatment Center offers outpatient medication assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals struggling with addiction to opioids. The facility is located in an industrial park in Beaver, W.Va., seven miles northwest of Beckley.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Beckley Comprehensive Treatment Center provides medically supervised maintenance and detox services to clients, who must be at least 18 years of age and dependent on opiates for a minimum of one year. The facility’s “all-inclusive care” includes therapeutic interventions, along with specific medications to target the emotional components of addiction. Treatment programs and medication schedules are tailored to each client’s needs.

Medications used in the program include methadone, Suboxone, Subutex, and Vivitrol. In addition to medically supervised treatment, clients engage in individual and group therapy to understand the roots of their addiction and forge a path to long-term recovery.

The clinic operates seven days per week. It opens at 5 a.m. and closes at 2:45 p.m. on weekdays, 5 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. on Saturdays, and 6 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. on Sundays. Medicating hours end several hours before the facility closes, but follow the same clinic hours on the weekends.

The facility provides little further detail about its program, though alumni polled by Best-rehabs.com indicated the program used the 12-Steps with counseling. One alum mentioned taking part in a seven-day detox program. Alumni ratings for holistic and exercise/leisure options were mixed, indicating that the program might be lacking extracurricular activities.
