ABOUT LIONROCK RECOVERY

Lionrock Recovery is an online addiction recovery program founded in 2011. It offers treatment via secure video conferencing, and is particularly aimed at treating those whose locations or schedules make it difficult to access in-person care, or for those who do not want to seek treatment in a public venue. Programs can be accessed on computers or mobile devices.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

According to the center’s website, treatment begins with an in-depth assessment that’s used to put together an individualized plan. The facility’s website indicates that all treatment is based on the 12-Steps.

Programs are offered at three intensities: an intensive outpatient program (IOP) comprised of 36 treatment hours per month; the Ascend program, which offers 16 treatment hours per month and generally lasts longer; and Base Camp, which is the lowest intensity of treatment, consisting of a weekly group session led by a peer counselor and an individualized treatment plan. Clients commit to Base Camp on a month-to-month basis; the IOP and Ascend program are more structured.

The IOP includes three group sessions a week, individual and family sessions, and education about the nature of addiction. The program lasts between eight and 12 weeks. The Ascend program contains the same components, spread out over time for a less intensive program. It includes a one-hour individual session and two 90-minute group sessions a week.

A six-week family program provides one group session a week, plus education, coping skills training, and support.

All clients also gain access to a private social network that provides 24/7 support, and an app that allows for daily support. Lionrock also partners with physicians who prescribe Suboxone and Naltrexone, to provide counseling services to complement their medication-assisted treatment.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Lionrock’s founders have backgrounds in business and technology, according to the center’s website. The organization also employs a doctor and master’s level counselors.
