Our mission is to provide young adults suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction with a safe and structured healing environment conducive to a purposeful life in recovery. We combine evidenced based practices, cutting edge treatment modalities, and 12-step based principles and practices to provide effective, holistic care to each individual who struggles with substance use disorders with and without co occurring disorders. Additionally, we provide safe and structured sober living to provide the ideal environment to build the foundation for a purposeful, life long recovery.
ABOUT RED ROCK RECOVERY CENTER
Red Rock Recovery Center, located in the Denver suburb of Lakewood, Colo., is a long-term residential addiction treatment center for young adults. Clients participate in a transitional rehab program that incorporates dual diagnosis treatment for individuals struggling with co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions. The program utilizes traditional and experiential therapies as well as supportive housing. Red Rock Recovery Center is part of the 11 percent of Colorado facilities that offer long-term residential treatment.
Detox services are not available on-site, but Red Rock’s staff will assist clients in beginning treatment at another appropriate facility if detox services are needed.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Though each program is tailored to the individual needs of a client, Red Rock’s treatment is based on the 12-Steps, one of 180 Colorado facilities to employ this particular modality for treatment. Clients participate in individual counseling sessions and the program also offers cognitive behavioral therapy with holistic treatment modalities, which is meant to treat trauma, relapse prevention, address family dynamics, and provide life skills. The program emphasizes peer accountability and involvement in a local 12-step group. Clients also work on holistic recovery through practicing yoga or strength training. Staff also offers assistance with legal issues and job placement.
Partnerships with local area organizations allow Red Rock to offer equine and adventure therapies such as backpacking, rafting, and biking. The facility also offers creative arts and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.
The facility prioritizes communication with and support for family members, according to its website, providing an intensive weekend program with opportunities to address codependence and to learn about recovery. There is also a sober living house in Denver for alumni of the program.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The treatment team includes a board certified psychiatrist, a registered nurse, social workers, and master’s level therapists. A yoga instructor with certification in trauma-informed practice is also on staff. A number of program alumni serve as program leaders as well.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The center offers transitional housing for up to 30 clients, with separate quarters for men and women. Clients have access to an off-site gym. Photographs on the Red Rock site feature an outdoor jacuzzi, along with modern kitchens and bathrooms and spacious yards. Residents are able to go on outdoor excursions together.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
Three reviews of the facility written by former clients are largely positive. One alum, who was also a staff member at the rehab center, gave high marks, rating the overall quality of care and treatment specific to co-occurring disorders each four out of five stars. He also indicated that the cost of treatment at Red Rock was fair. Another alum credited the facility’s long term effectiveness, and praised its educational programming for helping set them up for gainful employment after completion of treatment.
Secondary sites were also extremely positive. Five alumni who left reviews on Google provided perfect five out of five stars of this facility.[1] Those that commented praised the long-term results of treatment in particular. Alum Ashley wrote: “I owe my life to this program. They helped me to build a life I never even knew was possible.”
The 29 reviews submitted to the facility’s official Facebook page, which the staff has the ability to monitor, were similarly rated, offering a perfect five-star average.[2]

The sole loved one to submit a review to Best-rehabs.com reported inadequate care for her family member in a crisis situation.
In stark contrast, family members who submitted Google reviews all five provided five-star ratings. They praised staff members particularly, characterizing them as knowledgeable, dedicated, and “amazing.”
WHAT STAFF SAY
In addition to the staff member who participated from the program, a fellow employee indicated that they would recommend Red Rocks to those seeking treatment. The review submitted to Best-rehabs.com indicated high quality treatment and highlighted the level of staff training and experience. FINANCING
The cost of treatment, according to information provided by the facility, is $5,200 per month. Some private insurance plans – including Humana and ComPsych – are accepted. Financial aid is available to the who need it.
