ABOUT TRANSITIONAL LIVING CENTER (TLC)
A division of the Connecticut-based Community Mental Health Affiliates (CMHA), Transitional Living Center (TLC) provides sober living support for adults who have recently received psychiatric treatment. Based in New Britain, Conn., the residential facility offers an alternative for individuals who, without guidance and supervision, would eventually require hospitalization.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the center’s website, TLC’s programming is focused on helping residents develop the skills and self-confidence needed to live a productive, independent life. In addition to helping clients maintain regular appointments, staff work with residents in areas including **personal care, money management, socialization, housekeeping, education, and employment. ** As clients gain and strengthen life skills, they are granted more responsibility and independence.
