ABOUT RUSHFORD AT MERIDEN

Rushford at Meriden, operated under the Hartford HealthCare network, provides evidence-based outpatient programs and crisis services for adults (18 and older) and adolescents (13 to 17) with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our Meriden facility also offers intensive outpatient programming for Latino clients, as well as prevention and community support services. Please note that detox is not available at this location.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Clients referred to Rushford undergo an initial physical and psycho-social assessment to ensure that they receive appropriate care.

Our adult outpatient clients attend introductory 12-step programs, group therapy, and drug education classes while continuing to reside at home. We offer medication-assisted treatment with Suboxone for clients over 16 who are addicted to prescription painkillers or heroin. This treatment approach combines group therapy and medication to support and sustain recovery.

Adolescent males and females with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders participate in an evidence-based, after-school program called The Seven Challenges. This program, offered five days a week, helps teens develop stress management skills and addresses the issues most relevant to their lives.

Rushford at Meriden also provides outpatient mental health and addiction services in Spanish through its Latino Services Program.

Rushford at Meriden Reviews

I was in CBI when it was at 80 Hanvover st harbor brook apts. Staff were great. Some CBI staff were a little strange. but all in all it was ok. Paddox ave therapy was great. group and individual. Friendship did the best they could....At the facility there was a Friday AA meeting which didn't support (some members) mentally ill people. ..we had fun. CBI pro-cat. I went to SCSU while I was patient.
This place was TERRIBLE & a JOKE!!!! I went here for "follow up" for severe depression back in 2010 when I came out of Midstate. All they care about is money. The counselors are a joke & don't care to help anyone & the people attending classes were on their phone, sleeping, talking or being rude. When I brought this up to a counselor, he told ME to tell them to be quiet instead of dealing w/ the issue. I could only tolerate this place a few visits, then got the hell out & never looked back. Midstate phyc. ward was so bad, it no longer exists. Nice Job!!!!
Communication is a strength. A family member goes to that facility and are well listeners.
