ABOUT AGENCY FOR COMMUNITY TREATMENT SERVICES, INC. – KEYSTONE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
Agency for Community Treatment Services, Inc. (ACTS), a community-based health agency, has delivered treatment services and social supports for individuals and their families since 1978. The Keystone Residential Program in Tarpon Springs, Fla., one of the organization’s many programs, provides a co-ed environment for adults with drug abuse and mental health issues.
The facility also serves as an alternative to incarceration for both the Pinellas County and Hillsborough County jails. Detoxification services are available at other ACTS locations.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
An initial assessment includes an interview to determine the most appropriate behavioral health services. Each client is assigned a case manager who helps create a treatment plan, discharge plan, and an ongoing recovery plan.
Programming is evidence-based and individualized. Treatment includes individual and group therapy, recreational therapy, random drug screening, and medication management. Educational groups focus on topics including recreation, decision-making, living skills, finances, relationships, nutrition, and more.
Seeking Safety helps clients deal with trauma issues during weekly gender-specific groups and there are daily 12-step meetings. Upon discharge, clients are scheduled a follow-up appointment with a provider in the community.
The clinical staff at ACTS consists of a Medical Director, nurses, consulting psychiatrist, doctors, licensed clinical therapists, certified addiction professionals, case managers, and behavioral health technicians.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
ACTS’ facilities are designed to be therapeutic with plenty of natural light, outdoor courtyards, and leisure rooms. Transportation services are available.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

The one anonymous former client gave Keystone five out of five stars for its “respectful” staff’s level of training and experience and for its “awesome dual diagnosis program.” The alum rated the program’s holistic offerings and counseling options four out of five stars, but the connectivity policy only two stars. “I was court ordered in, and I was treated with respect. The counseling services that were offered helped me very much,” the alum wrote.
ACTS accepts Medicaid and many major commercial insurance providers, such as Medicaid, Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, and Value Options. For those in need, the organization offers sliding scale fees based on Federal poverty guidelines.
