Futures Of Palm Beach

Futures Of Palm Beach Tequesta Florida

Futures of Palm Beach believes that recovery from chemical dependency and co-occurring mental health disorders requires a multidisciplinary approach. Setting a superior standard for addiction treatment, the drug and alcohol rehab combines individualized care with cutting-edge and evidence-based therapies to equip clients with a wide array of techniques and skills for achieving long-term sobriety. All motivational factors behind addictive behavior are addressed, including physiological, emotional, social, and spiritual influences. The facility offers a comfortable and safe environment for individuals to begin the challenging — but ultimately rewarding — journey of recovery.

ABOUT FUTURES OF PALM BEACH

Designed in the sprawling, communal-living style of a Mediterranean villa, Futures of Palm Beach provides a full spectrum of services, including luxury residential addiction treatment, to adults. The facility also treats co-occurring mental health and eating disorders, and detox services are available on-site.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

According to the center’s website, with a multidisciplinary approach at its core, Futures of Palm Beach employs traditional, holistic, and alternative therapy modalities in an effort to ensure that each client receives effective and personalized programming. Two tiers of care are offered — the Core Program and the Premium Tier. The latter has all the same amenities as the Core Program, plus extra massage and acupuncture sessions, improved living arrangements, personality testing, and more.

In addition to intensive dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), an evidence-based psychotherapy technique utilized at the facility, clients participate in individual and group counseling, biofeedback sessions, recovery coaching, and educational groups. Experiential practices, such as hypnotherapy, nutritional counseling, yoga, massage, acupuncture, and art therapy, complement the traditional therapies.

Futures encourages family members to participate throughout their loved one’s recovery process. During the latter stages of treatment, the facility hosts a three-day family program that offers workshops and family therapy sessions. Additionally, Futures has a dedicated aftercare program, which includes regular check-ins from an assigned life coach for months after treatment completion. Further, those who complete treatment are forever allowed to participate in alumni programming such as meetings, outings, and volunteer opportunities.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The center’s website states Futures of Palm Beach is led by a medical director who is a board certified addictionologist and psychiatrist, the facility’s treatment team consists of Ph.D.- and master’s-level therapists, as well as credentialed recovery coaches, dietitians, hypnotherapists, and support staff.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

Futures’ website indicates the center prides itself on its spa-like amenities and luxurious environment. Individuals are housed in spacious private rooms with bathrooms, walk-in closets, and TVs. While not in therapy, they are encouraged to cool off in the outdoor pool, relax in the Jacuzzi, and clear their minds in the sitting areas surrounding a meditative Koi pond.

Individuals have access to a fully equipped fitness center, a certified personal trainer (available when clinically appropriate), and tennis and volleyball courts. An on-site chef prepares gourmet meals daily, and clients may use cell phones and laptops with a therapist’s approval.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

Of the dozen-plus alumni reviews collected by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing, feedback is mostly positive, with some notes of complaint. On the positive side, several alumni credited the center for having saved their lives. Vincent called the program “reality based” and A.C. received “very individualized” attention from the staff. “Would definitely recommend to others seeking treatment,” alum J.L. wrote.

Alum Stefanie wrote: “Futures truly saved my life!! The staff was wonderful and helped in so many ways!!! Everyday I wake up and I’m extremely and forever grateful for Futures!!!”

Other reviewers referred to their experiences as “fantastic” or “life changing,” and to the staff as “compassionate,” “easy to communicate with,” and “talented.” M.E.P. stated: “I was treated like a human being and helped to succeed even when I wanted to quit.”

The reviews from those whose experiences were less positive cited disorganization, high cost, and deceptive marketing. V.S. told Best-rehabs.com: “I was ready to leave with in the first week, as I felt that it was not organized, but I decided to stay and give it a chance-I wish I hadn’t…They have grand ‘ideas’ of how to run an addiction treatment center, but have not the organization to implement it properly.” And Morgan, though she gave four-star ratings across the board, warned prospective clients about deceptive marketing and pricey extras. She wrote: “Website is misleading… Also, I don’t understand the random out of pocket costs.”

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

The eight loved ones who were polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing provided mostly positive reviews. Aside from complaining about the high costs, loved ones were appreciative of the facility’s warm, community-based environment. Laura, whose daughter attended Futures of Palm Beach, wrote to Best-rehabs.com: “The staff was wonderful and easy to communicate with, which helped when I was unable to visit. I felt very much ‘at ease’ knowing she was being cared for.” Other anonymous loved ones noted that the staff were “friendly,” “well trained,” and “caring.”

Loved ones gave the center more than four out of five stars in every category including counseling options, the staff’s experience, and holistic offerings.

FINANCING

The facility accepts most health insurance policies and self-payment. For those who are uninsured and cannot afford to pay for treatment upfront, Futures has partnered with Prosper Healthcare Lending to provide loans and financing options.

  • Knowledgeable, caring staff and a very comfortable, safe atmosphere. Top notch therapists. Having detox under the same roof as residential treatment is a huge plus. Great amenities. Very clean, comfortable and safe. Staff treated us with respect and care. The only glaring weakness was the food.

  • Checked into Futures on Feb 12 2017 broken and worn. Have been clean ever since. Got my life and family back. My nephew is checking into futures today. If Futures can help me life will be good again for him. Great place and great staff. Thanks Futures!
The CEO walks right by you wo smiling. She spoke before an alumni event and didn't even introduce herself to the patients. Totally hands off, but her finger on the pulse of making as much money as possible. There is no dignity. An RA treats you.. like a toddler. The last thing you should treat a professional in recovery. Everyone seems to leave early. The therapists range from no experience to a few good therapists.

  • I recently celebrated 2 years of sober living. I started using drugs and drinking heavily in 2000. I have been in over 20 rehabs, detoxes, institutions, and jail. I thought I was a lost cause. In 2014 my husband insisted that I go to treatment for 30 days at Futures after he researched many facilities. I did not want to go but wanted to save my marriage. I was terrified of treatment and even more so of living life sober. When I arrived I was shocked. It looked like a luxury resort. The staff there were very caring from the housekeeping to the CEO. The rooms looked like small apartments. I was seen by a doctor and put on medication for detox. I had suffered some really bad detoxes in the past and was petrified. To my amazement this place knew what they were doing and I was up and going during the detox period. They made me very comfortable and the detoxification went smoothly. Futures not only helped me get sober. They taught me how to think and live differently. They had several treatment methods that I had never experienced. I learnt from each one. I no longer have to take anxiety medicine or try to escape by using. I still to this day use the methods of coping with life during trying times. If I ever need to talk to anyone in confidence I have a phone number of the alumni cordinater. He calls everyone that goes through the program and follows up with them with their approval. He just contacted me this week. Its nice to have a friend for life that you can share your stories of success. I had lost almost everything and Futures gave me a brand new life. This year I will be going back to colledge. I never dreamed I would be able to escape the terrible life I was living. Recently my Dad passed. He told me the night before he passed that he was going home and was tired. I was able to talk in length with him and he trusted me to take care of my mother. If it wasn't for Futures he would not have been able to die peacefully. He trusted me. Wow TRUST? That's a great thing to have back with my family. Some people say that you cant quit unless you want to. I was forced into treatment and just laying attention to what was being taught from dietary to chemical dependency I got sober. I'm am happy now and don't have to take anything for my anxiety. Its an awesome life. I want to thank each and everyone who works at the treatment center for giving my life back. I stay in contact with several people I was in treatment with and am amazed how it worked for so many. If you have a problem with drugs, alcohol, or even an eating disorder give Futures a try. If you listen to what they teach and take advantage of what they offer you can discover how to live a great life without using. If I did it I know anyone can. Thanks Futures!
Thanks to all at futures I have been clean for a year now Thanks to the men and ladies that take the time out of their day to help us with our addiction it really means a lot to me thanks again for all your help

  • DO NOT GO HERE. STAFF VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STARTING WITH THE INTAKE PERSON.BEAUTIFUL FACILITY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF.
My 39 year old son was there a month ago for alcohol and Xanax addiction. He came home after two weeks. He was to go to intensive outpatient locally but they never emailed his records even after several phone calls. He was to get daily calls from alumni, but that did not happen. He is drinking again,. He is also EOB ( Explanation of benefits) from his insurance company from 3rd party providers that Futures used and are not covered by insurance. Do not waste money on airfare. Find a better place.
Very impressed with my loved one's experience at Futures. He's been through so many treatment centers that we've lost count. Futures is the first place that seemed to address addiction from all angles. It wasn't only about the 12 steps, although he did begin attending the meetings and working with a sponsor while he was there. Most of his time seemed to be sent learning about himself, in therapy and in groups. I speak on behalf of the entire family when I say we are grateful for Futures unique and effective approach to addiction treatment.

  • I really liked the DBT and the Director of the program that was there (and his wife). They were just amazing people with groundbreaking therapy. Since I left, the program has fallen under new leadership from a Director standpoint. Therefore, I cannot give an opinion on the program from that perspective.

  • Futures were very good to me and added me to their private Alumni group, I keep in touch with a lot of the people I was in treatment with. It's a pretty awesome part of my recovery. 5 out of 5 stars! Well rounded and structured, beautiful environment, amazing gym and trainers. They were going through changes while I was there so it was a bit messy at times. There was a lot of rule changes that they made before thinking about how it would effect the others clients.
The facility is beautiful, but the staff is not treated well. They are not appreciated and overworked. The management sucks.

  • The staff was wonderful and easy to communicate with, which helped when I was unable to visit. I felt very much "at ease" knowing she was being cared for. When I first got there, I jokingly asked if I could have a room - it was very nice! When I picked my daughter up 30 days later, the atmosphere made me feel as if they were one big family who had grown close and we're concerned with each others progress.

  • Futures helped me to correctly identify my addiction and take positive action. Previous trips to Psych Wards provided no help in beating my addiction. Futures took the time and care to develop a way in which I could have a meaningful life without the use of drugs. The friends, relapse prevention plan, and gateway into the real world are unforgettable.

  • Again, website is misleading. I would have appreciated the alternative therapies - ALL of them available, especially considering how expensive the treatment is. Also, I don't understand the random out of pocket costs It doesn't coincide with my insurance policy. However, the power of the group was immense. My peers were the biggest influence on me. The ability to socialize without substances, and the opportunity to explore personal issues were worth the time and effort.

  • It was an incredible experience! I was at my lowest low and the folks at futures as a whole were always there for me no matter what my mood or how sick I was. I was treated like a human being and helped to succeed even when I wanted to quit. I would go back just to say hi to the staff at FoPB. I want to thank them for saving my life.

  • Futures changed my life and I am forever grateful for the program and staff. When I showed up I was a complete train wreck. I can actually live my life happy and clean and I would not have been able to do that if it wasn't for every one involved in my recovery process. I tried to stay because I loved it so much.

  • I went to Futures for drug addiction. This was my first time going to rehab. I did not stay the entire time due to medical issues. I don't have insurance and had to pay cash out of my pocket...Futures refused to work with me on a partial reimbursement for the remaining days I had left...(I feel) they took advantage of me since I paid cash. They would never be able to do that to an insurance company.

Please do your homework on this place before entering their program-especially if you have an eating disorder, as in my opinion, they are ill-equipped.

  • Amazing place, amazing people. I did not want to go to treatment but once I arrived at Futures I did not want to leave. The staff is caring, professional and very talented. The facility is beautiful - more like a resort than a treatment center but most importantly I now have the tools I need to face life without alcohol and drugs. Futures saved my life and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to change the way they are living. I now have have hope for the future - for the first time in years.

  • Worst treatment center I have ever been to. I was not allowed to attend groups as I entered straight from detox on a Friday and instead sat in my room for 3 days reading Dr. Phil books. I ended up leaving and went to Alternatives in Treatment in DelRay and had a wonderful experience and am sober and enjoying life. The only professional staff I saw during my treatment at Futures was a maid who came in to make my bed...which I had already made. This was my first red flag as any great treatment center, Betty Ford, Mayo clinic, Hazelden, etc, does not make your bed. They help you become responsible and accountable...2 traits necessary for recovery from alcoholism or addiction. Would not recommend this place at all.

  • My 3rd time in treatment and my first time sober for any period of time. Amazing team, very comfortable living with nice rooms and food. I hear from the alumni manager all the time and have gone to a few events as I now live nearby in florida.
I wasn't very unhappy with this facility. They jump the gun so easily. They say they can help bipolar with alcohol issues. They are not equipped to handle mental health issues.
