ABOUT CORNERSTONE OF THE PALM BEACHES, INC.
Located in West Palm Beach, Fla., a short drive from the water, Cornerstone of the Palm Beaches, Inc. is a holistic addiction rehab center for adults. Though Cornerstone is run primarily as an outpatient center, it offers clients luxury housing alongside a range of holistic activities and services.
Ambulatory and medical detoxification as well as medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services are also available here.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Per the center’s webpage, treatment here has four goals to it: to assist individuals develop the skills needed for long-term abstinence, to provide education for family members and/or significant others, to provide an integrated care approach, and to integrate individuals into a supportive recovery environment.
Cornerstone’s intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs are each available either as a step-down service from detoxification or accessible directly. Length of treatment varies, though some clients stay here from three to six months.
Beyond their time in individual and group therapy, considered by the center as basic treatment needs, clients take part in a holistic curriculum complete with yoga and meditation, music therapy, physical fitness, aroma therapy, and acupuncture and homeopathic medicine. Treatment also has capacity to address complex mental health problems such as anxiety, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as more regularly experienced issues of anger management, grief, and loss.
The center’s leadership team consists of two individuals with master’s in psychology with more than 50 years combined experience in the mental health field. The center also boasts a staff-to-client ratio of 1:1.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Pictures published on Cornerstone of the Palm Beaches’ official webpage depict a mansion with rather basic furnishings. Clients stay in shared bedrooms and have access to a full kitchen and a common area with couches and TV.
Of the two Best-rehabs.com survey respondents polled on the matter, each gave the center five stars for its accommodations and quality of meals.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
Feedback to date is mixed. Two of the three Best-rehabs.com reviewers found the staff here friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. “Cornerst[o]ne really helped me get back to where I was once in my life and I am truly grateful,” wrote alum A.C., a former participant of both IOP and PHP. K.M.K., the other alum, appreciated the well-maintained houses and deemed the center a “great place to get sober.”
The third, C.H., however, called the center both the “Worst center in south Florida” and “a disaster.”
In their five-star reports, a pair of Google reviewers celebrated the “amazing therapists” and “loving owners and staff that really care about the needs of their patients.” 
Cornerstone of the Palm Beaches is a Medicare and Medicaid certified organization that also accepts “most health insurance plans.” Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.
