ABOUT RECO INTENSIVE

Located in the coastal city of Delray Beach, Fla., RECO Intensive provides a full range of services for adults struggling with substance abuse. Among the facility’s offerings are residential, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization treatment programs, and aftercare services. Sober living support and detoxification services are also available.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Upon admission, each client undergoes a comprehensive clinical and medical assessment. The duration of treatment varies from person to person, but RECO Intensive recommends that clients remain in treatment for at least 60 days.

Clients in treatment engage in individual counseling, group and family therapy, addiction education, 12-step work, and relapse prevention training. There are specialized groups that focus on trauma, nutrition, professional development, and gender-specific topics. The center’s therapeutic approach employs a variety of modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

RECO Intensive also incorporates holistic and alternative therapies, including art and music therapy, spiritual and mindfulness exercises, and equine therapy. Therapeutic activities include volunteering at the local animal shelter, ropes courses, nature walks, and softball.

The facility’s aftercare services include weekly alumni meetings and an Alumni Buddy program which introduces clients to RECO alumni who can support them.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

According to the facility’s website, the center employs a specialized team of primary therapists, physicians, behavioral health technicians, and case managers. RECO Intensive also works with a yoga teacher, a nutritionist, and an art therapist.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

RECO Intensive maintains multiple single-family homes, all of which are gender-specific. All properties have shared bedrooms, modern furnishings, and flat-screen TVs. Most apartments feature outdoor space, and a few have game rooms and swimming pool access.

Transportation to therapy and the grocery store is provided by RECO, or clients can have personal cars, pending approval. Smoking is not permitted at any of the residential facilities.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

Alumni reports to Best-rehabs.com were overwhelmingly positive at the time of this writing. Treatment effectiveness was given five out of five stars from 35 respondents. Representative reviewer Ron wrote: “BEST IOP EVER!!!”

two of the frequently listed highlights of the facility were the staff and the offered alumni activities. Brandy praised both of these, writing: “Great staff they genuinely care after treatment I went there they gave me everything that I needed to go out into the real world they are like a big family there. I still attend alumni meetings whenever possible.” Another respondent remarked: “Reco saved my life and cared about everyone that I was there with.”

The 96 reviews submitted to Google included all perfect five-star ratings.[1] An alum named B. appreciated the individualized and holistic approach: “I truly believe that I had success because it was not a ‘one size fits most’ treatment. They designed a customized therapy program specific to my issues and behaviors.” Another reviewer, Martina, wrote “Their strategies were different and worked for me. I couldn’t have done it without them.”

On the facility’s Facebook page, which it can manage, 87 reviewers also gave a perfect five out of five stars.[2] Alumni on Facebook also had positive feedback about the staff. “The entire staff works as a team to make sure that they are doing everything in there power to help you succeed,” Taylor wrote.

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

Similar to most alumni, Dustin, the a parent of a client polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing, gave five stars for all three basic metrics: treatment effectiveness, accommodations, and meals. He described the center as “a glimmer of hope” and wrote of his son, “He is recovering, in every sense of the word, and it’s all because of RECO.” Another parent of a RECO client echoed praise for alumni activities, commenting, “I want say thank you to Reco for giving my son the skills to live a sober life. They helped him with housing, food and a job and he participates in alumni activities”

Feedback from loved ones through Google is also positive. Holly, who submitted a five-star review to Google, wrote “My 19 year old daughter has been given her life back through her hard work and the caring, competent staff at RECO.” And Tara wrote, “My son completed treatment with you and we’ve seen such a positive change in him.”

FINANCING

Treatment fees at RECO Intensive vary by client, and the facility does not publish its pricing online. Most insurance plans, including Cigna, Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, and Humana, are accepted.
