CentraCare Health – Passages

Owned and operated by CentraCare Health, Passages provides residential treatment to adult men struggling with substance use disorder. The facility is located in St. Cloud, Minn., which is about an hour outside of Minneapolis.

Passages is an extended care facility designed for clients who have recently completed primary residential treatment. The program is designed to emphasize the importance of pursuing vocational and/or educational goals while continuing to participate in structured recovery services.

Residents are required to attend five hours of programming each week, including group and individual counseling, job skills training, and specialized groups that deal with recovery issues specific to men.

There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its treatment staff, however the one alum surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing noted that “staff is short in number.”

According to the facility’s websites, residents live in fully furnished bedrooms with TVs and private bathrooms. Amenities include a fitness room, a basketball court, and on-site laundry facilities.

The one former client polled by Best-rehabs.com to date gave Passages a mostly positive review and awarded the facility four out of five stars for its treatment effectiveness. “Very well run and definitely a benefit of attending,” they wrote.

On Google, Passages received one four-star review and two five-star reviews, though no commentary was left.[1]

According to HealthGrove, Passages accepts CentraCare, state insurance other than Medicaid, and Access to Recovery vouchers. Fees are offered on a sliding scale to clients who qualify.
