ABOUT SPECIALIZED TREATMENT SERVICES, INC.
Specialized Treatment Services, Inc. (STS) provides outpatient substance abuse treatment and medicated-assisted treatment through methadone and Buprenorphine for adults who are chemically dependent on opiates. To be eligible for treatment, clients must have been addicted to opiates for a consecutive 12-month period. Walk-ins are welcome according to the facility’s website.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients undergo a comprehensive chemical health evaluation with a licensed alcohol and drug counselor during intake. Assessments are generally completed within 24 to 48 hours.
STS offers a variety of techniques and modalities that are individually tailored to each client’s needs, instead of focusing on a specific treatment model. In addition to Methadone and Buprenorphine maintenance, the facility also provides day and evening outpatient treatment called Six Dimensions Counseling. This program includes group therapy and education on topics such as stress management, women’s issues, relapse prevention, living skills, career building, and family education.
Clients must also attend individual counseling once per week for the first 10 weeks of treatment. Subsequently, the frequency of meetings is determined based on the client’s progress.
