TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Outpatient treatment at the Wadena Clinic is designed for individuals faced with depression and anxiety, bipolar disorder, suicidal rumination, trauma, emotional distress, parenting and family problems, life transitions, and more. In addition to receiving evidence-based therapies, like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), for these issues, outpatients may also undergo assessments and evaluations for chemical dependency and developmental issues.

Support services are also available for children and teens with attention-deficit, hyperactivity, schizophrenia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Treatment services at the clinic are provided by a medical doctor who is board-certified in psychiatry and family medicine and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP).

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

K.H., the sole survey response on Best-rehabs.com to date, gave three stars for the outpatient clinic’s treatment effectiveness, meals, accommodations, holistic options, and affordability, yet only two stars for the counseling options and staff’s level of training and experience and one star for the family participation and exercise and leisure opportunities. The alum considered group therapy a program strength, but added: “No one on one, not much to do.”

On Google, where the clinic has an average rating of 2.9 stars from 11 reviewers, reviews outlined a much more mixed picture. Some found the place “unprofessional,” “RUDE,” and unapologetic after making a mistake, while others described the staff as “kind and friendly,” “highly skilled,” and “very thorough and compassionate.”

FINANCING

According to its website, Tri-County Health Care provides “services without a charge, or at a reduced rate” for those truly in need. It also indicates that insurance is accepted.
