ABOUT HOPE HOUSE WOMEN’S PROGRAM

Located in Grand Rapids, Minn., Hope House is a treatment center that offers residential and outpatient programs for women struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

According to the facility’s website, women must be at least 18, provide a mental health history, a legal background report, an alcohol and drug history, and complete an admission interview to enter treatment.

The Hope House isn’t for people who need emergency medical care, or for individuals who might harm themselves or others.

Each client receives individualized treatment based on their needs. Hope House offers multiple program options, including 12-Step groups, co-occurring programs, and parenting groups.

The facility also offers a Relapse Prevention Group, which offers information about relapse, helps clients recognize triggers, and teaches them coping skills. The Co-Dependency Group focuses on how addiction affects relationships.

The center’s website indicates the Talking Circle Group meets once a month for an hour-long meeting where clients are able to speak freely in a non-confrontational manner about their struggles with addiction. The Living Skills group teaches women the tools needed to live a healthy, sober life. Topics in this group include budgeting and organizational skills.

Hope House also has a therapeutic recovery track. This group gives clients the chance to participate in substance-free recreational activities and teaches them how to plan chemical-free activities.

Project Clean Start is an aftercare program, which is available for mothers and their children.

Other group topics available include spirituality, wellness, goals and gratitude, family recovery, and meditation.
