ABOUT BEHAVIORAL CROSSROADS, LLC

In the town of Egg Harbor, N.J., near Atlantic City, Behavioral Crossroads, LLC provides outpatient treatment for adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Treatment for substance abuse is offered at a variety of levels, including a general outpatient program (GOP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and partial hospitalization (PHP). If necessary, detox services are provided on-site.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Time spent in ambulatory detox varies from person to person, but clients should expect to generally spend five or more days focused on managing their withdrawal symptoms before beginning treatment. Following detox, clients enter the level of outpatient treatment that best suits their needs. GOP is the least time-intensive option; clients spend up to three hours a week in treatment. Weekly hours increase to 10 with IOP, and those in enrolled in PHP spend five to six hours a day on-site. A day treatment program is also available specifically for mental health disorders.

Depending on the program, clients experience a mix of individual and group therapy as well as psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring, and music or art therapy. Relapse prevention, spirituality, and life skills education are also key program components. Additionally, Behavioral Crossroads, LLC offers a family education program. Clients who are on-site most of the day receive hot, catered lunches.

The facility works with many sober living homes and can recommend treatment in one if necessary.
