ABOUT FIRSTHEALTH MOORE ADDICTION RECOVERY SERVICES
FirstHealth Moore Addiction Recovery Services, a division of Moore Regional Hospital of Pinehurst, N.C., provides outpatient services for adults dealing with chemical dependency. Medical detoxification is offered on-site and inpatient psychiatric services are available.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment begins with an initial assessment to identify individual needs. When needed, medical detoxification may involve medication-assisted therapy (Suboxone) to alleviate cravings and symptoms.
Evidence-based treatment is combined with 12-Step principles. Individual, group, and family counseling is used to identify social, emotional, and mental issues. Clients may participate in 12-Step meetings, fellowship literature, and “step work.”
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is individualized to those who have completed the inpatient program. Full day treatment is available Monday through Friday starting from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) are offered Monday through Friday 8:30 am to noon.
Medication management is offered for those with co-occurring disorders.
Outgoing counseling and treatment is available following treatment. An aftercare program directed toward working professionals is available as well.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The medical team is headed by medical doctors, registered nurses, board-certified psychiatrists, licensed professional counselors, and social workers.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Limited information regarding accommodations is available on the facility’s website, but the three alumni responding to a Best-rehabs.com poll gave four- and five- out of five-star ratings for accommodations.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The three alumni responding to a Best-rehabs.com poll to date unanimously approved of the facility. The alumni awarded four and five out of five stars for the staff’s level of experience and training and the accommodations. “The staff treated you like family they made you feel at home,” one wrote. Another anonymous alum added that the staff was “friendly” but disliked that television and cell phone usage was not allowed. Both alumni evaluating the facility’s mental health disorder treatment gave the program four or five stars.
FINANCING
FirstHealth accepts a wide variety of insurance providers, including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Unitedhealthcare. Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare plans are accepted. FirstHealth also accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Discounts may be available for certain individuals.
