The Counseling Center, Inc. offers a wide range of services to help individuals with substance abuse, mental health, and physical health. We have licensed chemical dependency and mental health counselors dedicated to providing caring and comprehensive treatment that will help you get your life back on track.

ABOUT THE COUNSELING CENTER – MARSH HOUSE

The Marsh House provides outpatient treatment and sober living housing for men dealing with chemical dependency. As a part of the Counseling Center, Inc., a community-based addiction treatment service, clients will have access to medication-assisted detoxification services on an ambulatory basis.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Programming incorporates 12-step programming with evidence-based treatment. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing are used to address addictive behavior. Clients will participate in individual, group, and family counseling sessions.

Those who need ambulatory detoxification can be prescribed Suboxone or Subutex.

While living at Marsh House, residents will attend 12-step meetings and perform associated step-work. Clients can expect weekly drug tests and may gain a sponsor.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

According to the organization’s website, programs at the Counseling Center, Inc. are facilitated by “professional, licensed counselors dedicated to the principles of recovery.” The center employs house supervisors, program directors, and case managers. The three individuals polled by Best-rehabs.com at this time of writing gave an average 4.3 out of five stars for the staff’s experience and training.

Little information concerning the facility’s accommodations is available, but The Marsh House appears to be a homelike facility located in a residential neighborhood.

The wife of a client gave three out of five stars for the level of family participation.   • Doesn't have the family involved in the treatment plan hands on. I personally do not have experience, it was my husband who attended. In our area at the time there wasn't many places to go to unless you have thousands of dollars; it costs more to get clean & sober than to keep using. Luckily this facility does offer beds to people with Medicaid, being that majority of people that use are in the low income bracket & qualify for government help.

  • The AA program has a 100% success rate, if and only if you actually work the steps as laid out in the book. It only fails if a person for some reason can't be honest, and their are some who seem to be unable.

  • They have a very strong drug program. Little weak on drinking problems. Had to go to this place a part of my drug conviction treatment was in house 60 days it taught me a lot have been clean ever since
