TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at this family-oriented counseling center aims to help clients “obtain sobriety and develop skills necessary to maintain a self-directed recovery plan.” Programs are designed for persons living in Alleghany, ages 13 and older, experiencing co-occurring mental health disorders. To be eligible for treatment, clients must also demonstrate a sincere willingness to participate fully in their prescribed treatment plan. Priority space is reserved for pregnant women who are abusing drugs and any person using drugs intravenously.
Clients enrolled in counseling engage in cognitive therapy and a strength-based treatment model to develop healthier ways of living and thinking and ultimately achieve their treatment goals.
Trained therapists provide counseling.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
An anonymous alum found the program “Well staffed” but thought that staff could’ve been a “little more well educated.” They also told Best-rehabs.com that their experience was just an “okay” one, claiming that the program itself “May work for some people but did not work for me.” Despite these reservations and critiques, the anonymous reviewer gave four-star ratings for more than 10 different areas evaluated like the counseling options available, the treatment for co-occurring disorders, and the overall effectiveness of treatment.
Feedback was more mixed on the organization’s Facebook page. Though the organization has an average rating of 3.1 out of five stars from nine individuals, three gave one-star reviews. One reported that they “like it very much,” while another felt the agency doesn’t take care of its employees. “So much for the ‘caring environments’ this agency claims to create,” they wrote.
There is currently no information provided on the facility’s webpage or otherwise regarding its treatment costs. The anonymous Best-rehabs.com reviewer, however, gave four stars for both program affordability and cost worthiness.
