ABOUT PINNACLEHEALTH PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATES (PHPA)
Founded in 1873, PinnacleHealth is a nonprofit healthcare system dedicated to serving individuals and families across Central Pennsylvania. Located on the fifth floor of its Brady Building, in Harrisburg, the nonprofit treats children, teens, and adults in need of psychiatric attention through its clinically-backed PinnacleHealth Psychological Associates (PHPA).
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to PHPA’s webpage, treatment primarily entails individual cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychotherapy, psychiatric assessments, and medication management.
The treatment center has experience helping individuals with a range of problems including ADHD, addiction, anger management, autism disorders, cancer support, relationship problems, depression, trauma, and more. Clients with co-occurring disorders are also supported here.
Clients can schedule appointments from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Emergency services are available 24 hour a day.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
PinnacleHealth’s website notes the treatment team includes licensed psychologists and psychiatrists, licensed professional counselors, and licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs). The alumni polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave five out of five stars when asked about the staff’s level of training and experience.

Though they shared minimal written commentary, the one and only anonymous alum surveyed by Best-rehabs.com provided five out of five stars for most metrics including when asked if they would recommend PinnacleHealth, holistic offerings, counseling options, and leisure opportunities provided. “good,” they wrote.
Of the three people who left Google Reviews for PinnacleHealth Psychological Associates to date, two individuals gave five out of five star ratings, while the other person gave one star. “They don’t take all insurance, Medicare/Medicaid patients don’t waste your time,” Dianne, the only person who left commentary, wrote.
