  • They focused on the whole person in all areas of their life and NOT just on the addiction. They were real strict on communications outside of the facility. I understand because they want you to focus on treatment but I believe family involvement is very important. I am very grateful that I went to treatment at the VA Hospital. Not only did I complete their 21 day treatment for drugs and alcohol, but they also saw an area in my life that needed work. They put me in the Work Therapy program and as a result, I now work at the VA myself as an employee. I was in sales and it was very stressful and stress is one area that triggers the desire to use drugs and alcohol. I believe working at the VA is what is keeping me clean today and I owe it all to the program there.
