Ridgeview is an inpatient adolescent facility drug and alcohol treatment facility located in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania for teens struggling with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. Designed to treat teenagers struggling with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders, Ridgeview offers a residential program and outpatient-based services. If necessary, on-site medical detoxification is available, as well as medication-assisted therapy (MAT) to the alleviate the discomfort of withdrawal.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the facility’s website, clients first participate in an initial assessment, which is used to determine an appropriate level of care and develop an individualized treatment plan.
Admission to Ridgeview and assessments are offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If a client requires supervision and structure to acquire sobriety, the individual may be referred to the residential program.
Treatment typically lasts between 30 and 60 days in the residential program. Programming blends 12-step immersion with evidence-based programs.
Clients in the residential program also participate in weekly individual and family counseling sessions, which are designed to identify the underlying causes of addition. Treatment includes five group counseling sessions a week to learn coping skills, relapse prevention techniques, and emotion regulation.
Pyramid also utilizes medication-assisted therapy, such as methadone or Suboxone, which the facility describes as a “proven, effective option for many individuals struggling to recover from opiate addiction.”
In addition, clients regularly attend 12-step meetings and participate in recreational therapy. Pyramid also emphasizes family involvement, such as family education classes and counseling sessions, as an integral component of adolescent treatment programs. The facility’s state-licensed academic program, led by certified teachers, helps ensure that residents do not fall behind in their studies.
To address any co-occurring mental health disorders, Ridgeview provides psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management. Once a client completes residential treatment, they are encouraged to transition into an outpatient program. Ridgeview also provides linkages and referrals to continue psychiatric care and medication management.

FINANCING
According to the facility’s website, Pyramid Healthcare will “work with all clients who are uninsured to receive funding for treatment that is deemed appropriate.” The treatment provider also accepts most insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna and Magellan, as well as Medicaid.
