The Right Step San Antonio

The Right Step San Antonio San Antonio Texas

The Right Step has been providing treatment for patients with chemical dependency issues for over 20 years. Located in San Antonio, Texas, our facility offers intensive outpatient treatment for adults struggling with alcoholism and substance abuse. This program is specifically designed for individuals who are transitioning out of an inpatient program or are still working or in school and do not require a higher level of care. Our comprehensive treatment approach combines individual, group, and family therapy with addiction education and self-help support to equip patients with the necessary tools for long-term sobriety.

ABOUT THE RIGHT STEP SAN ANTONIO

Established in 1990, The Right Step operates more than 15 rehab facilities throughout Texas, establishing itself as one of the largest private chemical dependency treatment providers in the Southwest. Our San Antonio location offers outpatient, dual-diagnosis treatment, and aftercare services for adults struggling with substance abuse and/or mental health disorders. Residential treatment and detox services are available at our Houston Central location.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

At The Right Step, our outpatient programs are rooted in the 12-step model, but we also integrate two specialty modalities: The Daring Way and Positive Recovery. The Daring Way™ is a shame resilience curriculum that focuses on self-compassion, acceptance, and self-esteem. Positive Recovery® promotes the development of healthy interpersonal relationships and purposeful living. Our website highlights that these models empower clients to thrive in recovery rather than simply manage their addiction. Our staff members are extensively trained in both modalities.

In our intensive outpatient program (IOP), clients engage in group therapy, family counseling, and gender-specific support groups. The treatment plan also includes educational seminars on addiction, spiritual awareness, and relapse prevention. The IOP provides a minimum of 10 hours of counseling per week, with clients meeting at least three times a week during morning or evening sessions.

Upon completion of treatment, clients are eligible for our free two-year aftercare program. This program offers weekly support groups that facilitate access to addiction recovery resources and referrals. Additionally, all participants are connected to our alumni community, which provides opportunities for social activities and volunteer work. Javelin Continuing Care, an optional 12-month service, offers ongoing support through regular check-ins via phone, text, and email.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Our website states that our staff possess over 25 years of experience in substance abuse treatment. However, specific details regarding their credentials are currently not available.
