ABOUT APPLETON COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT CENTER
Located in Appleton, Wis., Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center is an outpatient treatment center that offers adult men and women treatment for opioid addiction. One of 241 (about 86 percent) of Wisconsin facilities to provide some form of outpatient treatment, Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center also offers medication assisted treatment (MAT) and various types of therapy.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center’s website, each client receives customized treatment planning to address each person’s unique needs.
Programming includes a combination of safe medications with supportive therapeutic interventions to treat the physical and psychological parts of addiction. The center offers prescription medications to clients such as Methadone, Subutex, Suboxone, and Vivitrol. The center’s medical team will monitor the medication chosen, dosage required, and administration of the medication closely to ensure each patient is safe.
The treatment center also offers group and individual therapy. Therapy sessions are design to help clients address and treat the underlying factors of their addiction. During individual therapy, clients are encouraged to discuss their emotions behaviors, and through with a counselor. Group sessions are at time to work through problems alongside other individuals who are also struggling with addiction.

Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center’s website notes its treatment team includes physicians, nurses, and counselors. The staff is specially trained in addiction and understand the problems associated with it. The one alum polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave four out of five stars for the staff’s level of training and experience.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The alumni surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing provided a mostly positive review. They gave five out of five stars for treatment effectiveness and counseling options. The alum provided high ratings for most metrics evaluated, however they only gave two stars for holistic offerings. The alum noted the center’s strengths were the counselors, while the number of people attending treatment was the center’s weakness.
To date, the 11 people who left Google Reviews for Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center provided an average of 4.5 out of five stars, and mostly positive commentary. Just one individual had wrote negative things about the center, calling it the “worst methadone clinic in wisconsin.” [1]
However, the rest of the commentary was positive. More than one alumni mentioned the center saves lives. Other positive feedback included praising the great program, the amazing groups, and counselors. “Excellent program its not just medication there is amazing groups and counselors that help you with everything from triggers to housing, family problems, legal issues, insurance and the list goes on and on,” Jamie wrote in a representative review.

According to Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center’s website, the price of treatment varies because each client receives a personalized treatment plan. The treatment center works with private and personal insurance along with Medicaid. The center also accepts cash and money order, but not personal checks or phone payments.
The alum surveyed by Best-rehabs.com to date gave four out of five stars when asked if treatment was worth the cost.
