ABOUT THEDACARE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH – MENASHA
ThedaCare is the third largest community health system in Wisconsin with seven hospitals and numerous clinics throughout several counties. The Behavioral Health department at the Menasha location offers adult outpatient treatment for substance abuse, mental health disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment options include a la carte psychiatric and psychotherapy sessions, biofeedback, neuropsychology, and substance-abuse-focused groups and counseling, including medication management and group therapy. Little information is provided on the treatment modalities that the Menasha location offers; however, the one alum surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave the facility five out of five stars for its counseling options.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
In addition to medical doctors, psychiatrists and advanced-practice nurse practitioners, the treatment team also includes psychologists, neuropsychologists, mental health therapists and Alcohol and other drug abuse counselors.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The one former client surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave the facility a highly positive review, awarding it mostly four and five out of five stars for its treatment effectiveness, its cleanliness, its counseling options, its treatment of co-occurring disorders, and its staff’s level of training and experience.
On secondary sites, Menasha received mixed feedback. The Menasha facility received an average rating of 3.1 out of five stars based on 17 Google reviews to date.[1] Reviewers rated Menasha either one- or two-star ratings, or perfect five-star ratings. Multiple negative reviews cited issues with paperwork, finances, and record keeping as well as difficulties getting the proper diagnoses or prescriptions. Positive feedback from alumni and parents of former clients cited individual doctors who were easy to work with.
Additionally, on the facility’s Facebook page, 12 ratings average 4.3 out of five stars, but commentary is limited.[2] Jay gave four stars and wrote: “Friendly, discreet, professional and serious about people getting well,” while Carol added, “Friendly, discreet, professional and serious about people getting well,” in his five-star review.
FINANCING
According to HealthGrove, the facility accepts Medicaid, other state insurance, military insurance, and Access to Recovery Vouchers. Financial assistance is available to clients who qualify.
