ABOUT PROHEALTH CARE – WAUKESHA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Located in the community of Waukesha, Wisconsin, 19 miles west of Milwaukee, Waukesha Memorial Hospital provides residential care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs for adults struggling with addiction and/or co-occurring disorders. There is a special track for older adults as well as IOP programs for adolescents and children. If necessary, Waukesha Memorial Hospital provides on-site medical detoxification for individuals recovering from alcohol dependency.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
To help clinicians determine an appropriate level of care, individuals first undergo an initial assessment. Those who require stabilization and access to medical attention may be referred to the residential program. Waukesha Memorial Hospital utilizes evidence-based treatment methods to stabilize clients and promote lasting sobriety.
According to the hospital’s website, clients participate in a structured schedule of therapy groups to “share their feelings, frustrations and accomplishments with other patients.” Best-rehabs.com survey data indicates clients may also be introduced to the principles and practices of 12-Step.
Medication-assisted therapy (Suboxone) is utilized to minimize withdrawal symptoms associated with opioid withdrawal, and clients with dual diagnosis may receive medication management to address mental health issues. The goal of the residential program is to stabilize the individual and refer them to a less-intensive level of care, such as PHP or IOP.
