ABOUT ST. CROIX COUNTY WISCONSIN

The Department of Health and Human Services of St. Croix County, Wisconsin offers outpatient and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for adults and adolescents. The department, located in a suburb of Minneapolis, also provides evaluations and assessments for DUI offenders. Detoxification services aren’t available on-site but referrals can be made to another treatment facility.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The Department of Health and Human Services of St. Croix County administers assessments to determine the level of care needed. St. Croix County will make referrals to inpatient treatment and detoxification when needed. Individuals have access to case management services during treatment. The center may incorporate evidence-based treatment modalities like dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy into individual plans.

Traditional outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) programs for adults and adolescents are offered individually and/or in educational groups. Treatment includes individual, group, and/or family therapy. Appointments can be made after hours.

The department also offers treatment for those with chronic psychiatric conditions that consists of crisis intervention, employment skills training, medication management, and targeted case management.

The center provides educational programs to the public.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The Department of Health and Human Services of St. Croix County employs substance abuse counselors, nurses, psychiatrists, and licensed social workers.

FINANCING

The Department of Health and Human Services of St. Croix County accepts insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. A sliding scale fee is available to qualifying individuals. OWI assessments cost $380 and court-ordered evaluations cost $272. Payments for assessments must be paid by credit card, cash, or cashier check.
