ABOUT CREEKSIDE RANCH TREATMENT CENTER
Located in a ranch-style home just outside the city of Redlands in inland Southern California, Creekside Ranch Treatment Center is a rehab for adults struggling with addiction and dual diagnosis — one of 471 private, for-profit rehabs in the rehab-friendly state of California. The center offers a continuum of care, including medical detox, residential treatment, and several levels of outpatient care.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
For clients requiring detoxification, medical professionals monitor withdrawal round the clock, to ensure clients’ safety and comfort. Though most clients withdraw as inpatients (there are six detox beds), there is also the option of detoxing on an intensive outpatient (IOP) basis.
There are two residential treatment tracks: a 12-step track and a non-12-step one that uses a holistic, therapeutic, and clinical approach. This approach uses evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) — one of the most popular methods of treating addiction, used by 93 percent of facilities around the nation. On both treatment tracks, residents participate in individual, group, and family counseling. And Creekside also treats emotional and mood disorders as well as sexual trauma.
Creekside offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and can provide referrals to other treatment centers in the area, for aftercare.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The clinical director is educated to PhD-level, and Creekside’s website also notes that the center uses psychiatrists, though none are posted among the full-time staff. There are two staff members for every three residents, and each client is assigned a social worker, case manager, and primary counselor.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
With 16 beds, Creekside is half the size of the average residential treatment facility in the US. Most clients sleep in well-furnished shared rooms, though private room options are available. The cabin-like facility boasts a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, and comfortable lounge area. Outside are creeks, forests, hills, and sweeping plains — but the main selling points might be the full-size pool and sauna.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The single review submitted to Best-rehabs.com to date is very negative. “No treatment for substance abuse none of the staff have experience with drug addicts,” A.I. wrote, adding that they had problems with the center’s staff and found photos of the facility deceptive.
