ABOUT LIGHTHOUSE TREATMENT CENTER
Located in California’s Orange County, Lighthouse Treatment Center offers residential treatment and outpatient programs for adults dealing with substance abuse and dual diagnosis. Our facility provides medically monitored detox services on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Residential treatment at Lighthouse is gender-specific and based on the 12-step program. In addition to 12-step meetings, we incorporate evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness training. Our residents participate in group therapy, psychoeducational lectures and groups, and relapse prevention classes. We also offer weekly family counseling sessions and educational services for families.
For individuals transitioning from residential treatment, we offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) as a step-down level of care.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
At Lighthouse, we pride ourselves on our exceptional staff-to-client ratio of 1:1. Although specific information about our treatment staff is not currently available, the feedback from our alumni, who evaluated the staff’s experience, reflects an average rating of 4.62 out of five stars.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Residents of Lighthouse Treatment Center sleep in shared bedrooms within a modern, family-style home. The facility offers a patio, a large kitchen, and comfortable communal areas. Our extracurricular and holistic activities include yoga, meditation, and supervised outings to baseball games and amusement parks. According to nine former clients surveyed, the center’s cleanliness received an average rating of 4.77 out of five stars.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
All 13 alumni surveyed to date have provided positive feedback about their experiences at Lighthouse. Many described the treatment as life-changing and praised the knowledgeable and friendly staff, effective group and family therapy, rewarding exercise programs, and delicious food. When asked if they would recommend the facility, eight respondents gave a rating of five out of five. Gabe, in a representative review, mentioned, “I can attest to the amazing program Lighthouse offers and feel confident in my recovery as a direct result of the program. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.”
Critical comments were minimal. Edward suggested that the management and coordination could use improvement, and K.W. mentioned that there was excessive smoking and suggested a need for more structure in the program. Nonetheless, both alumni were satisfied with the overall program.
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
The sole loved one surveyed during this time period gave Lighthouse a rating of five out of five stars for treatment effectiveness and reported that their uncle has been doing well since completing treatment.
WHAT STAFF SAY
I.C., the one staff member surveyed, also gave Lighthouse highly positive feedback. They awarded the facility five out of five stars in most evaluated metrics, including treatment effectiveness, exercise and leisure activities, holistic offerings, family participation, counseling options, and treatment of co-occurring disorders. They mentioned, “Knowledgeable staff, effective treatment and group therapy.”
FINANCING
The cost of treatment at Lighthouse is $12,000 for a month and $28,000 for 90 days. We accept private insurance and have a relationship with a medical loans company. Based on feedback from eight alumni surveyed, the center’s affordability received an average rating of 4.75 out of five stars.
