New Method Wellness Reviews

Dont, just don't. New Method is nothing more than a 12 step program with an ocean view, they don't keep scheduled appointments and can't keep track of their people. My person had to go to the hospital during detox...they lost him. Was supposed to be someone with him at all times but the guy walked off somewhere, so my person walked off somewhere too. He borrowed a phone from a stranger and called home because he wasn't sure where he was or even why he was there. I called NMW to tell them that he was lost - they didn't even know he was missing for more than 2 hours. The house they were staying in had a pool, which they weren't allowed to use. The main "center" is a strip mall. They're given a small stipend to purchase food, then cook for themselves. The average guy just isn't equipped to cook well/healthy on a super small budget - so lots of junk food which does not help with healing. I was told there would be no super strong meds after the detox period - they sent him home on an anti-psychotic and a benzo. The were literally hours late with scheduled phone appointments and an important one regarding after care that they entirely skipped. There was no DBT, CBT or acupuncture, no nutritional counseling, no family counseling, none of it. It's nothing more than a fancy warehouse - they keep them for 28 days and send unbelievable bills to your insurance company after they charge you an arm and 2 legs. That'll be cash by the way. Don't waste the time.
If you are looking at this review I know you our your loved one is in crisis. My family has been dealing with an addiction for the last 5 years of our loved one. Trying to navigate the rehabilitation facilities and detox centers blindly is a nightmare. My person had been to 4 rehab centers and we finally see light at the end of the tunnel. One of their directors took us out of crisis mode and actually directed my family as to what we needed to do. We are hopeful for a full recovery for the first time in a very long time. We know that we are still at the beginning the process once again but this man was able to guide us, give great advice, was very aware of our financial situation and did not want us to spend money that was not necessary. If you do nothing else, contact this facility and they will guide you on your journey. God bless all of you and this man.
This facility did an outstanding job with my fiance. She suffered from previous trauma and alcoholism. The facility took her success personal. She learned a lot of tools to help her to work through her sufferings and uses them daily. When she came home she was not even a shy person anymore. Her confidence was restored, her patience with others increased ten fold, and she has a new understanding of her disease. You get out of the program what you put in it seems and her success is attributed to REALLY working hard at what she wanted.
My 24 year old son was spiraling downhill and we needed help. New Method Wellness was exactly what he needed. From our initial contact with NMW, we could tell they knew what they were doing. They understood his dual diagnosis as well as what we as a family were going through. His two therapist were amazing and helped him process a lot of difficult things. Even after he left outpatient, NMW was still there to make sure he was on the right track. New Method Wellness clearly cares about their clients. I would recommend them 100%.
The owners truly care about the clients. When I arrived at New Method, the staff and clients embraced me and made me feel more welcome than I ever have felt before at other treatment centers. Effective treatment, most of the staff are in recovery themselves and this makes it easier to build trust. I miss New Method so much that I’m finishing a degree so that I can go back and work for them. I recommend New Method over Hazelden any day.
