10 Acre Ranch is a residential men’s addiction treatment center located in beautiful Southern California. As part of our social treatment model, we offer therapeutic group meetings and activities that allow residents to connect with and support one another during the recovery process. As they live together, prepare meals together, and attend support group sessions, clients begin to break the destructive cycle of isolation that develops at the height of addiction.
ABOUT 10 ACRE RANCH
Founded in 1992 and located in a residential neighborhood two miles from downtown Riverside, Calif., 10 Acre Ranch offers medical detox in addition to residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment for men age 18 and older who are struggling with substance use disorder or dual diagnosis.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment plans are individualized to fit each client’s needs. The residential program is 12-step based and lasts 30, 60, or 90 days. It utilizes a social-model approach that prioritizes group counseling within its intimate intake of six clients at a time. The facility’s staff-to-client ratio is 1:4.
One-on-one therapy, nutritional planning, and anger and stress management therapy are offered, and all clients are educated on the nature of addiction. When appropriate, families are invited to participate in counseling. The facility also hosts a weekly family night that brings clients and loved ones together for addiction education.
Efforts are also made to ensure that the program offers holistic healing; there are provisions for meditation, spiritual growth, and physical fitness. Additionally, all clients leave with an aftercare plan.
The PHP is offered for clients who live in the local community or who have other sober living facilities to return to each evening. Programming runs five days a week and includes the same components as residential treatment. The IOP is recommended to clients as a step-down level of care after completing residential treatment, whether they return home or reside in a sober living facility.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
According to the facility’s website, detox is supervised by a medical doctor and a registered nurse. Other members of the treatment team include licensed therapists, certified addiction counselors, and support staff.

10 Acre Ranch is a six-bed facility that includes an outdoor pool, horses, a ping-pong table, and plenty of outdoor space. Recreation activities include softball tournaments, movie nights, hiking, and supervised outings.
