Set on 37 acres of rural land in Lake Hughes, Calif., Lake Hughes Recovery provides residential treatment for adult men struggling with substance use disorder or dual diagnosis. Non-medical detoxification services are available on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission, all clients participate in an extensive intake interview, as well as receive a full medical assessment to ensure that non-medical detox is safe.
Treatment at Lake Hughes Recovery is individualized and 12-step based, and utilizes evidenced-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Length of stay varies depending upon the needs of each client.
Residents participate in individual counseling, group therapy, and relapse prevention training, as well as family therapy, psychotherapy and neuro-feedback, stress management workshops, and nutritional counseling. They also attend 12-step meetings in the community.
Experiential activities are incorporated into treatment and include yoga, farming, meditation, and fitness plans, as well as art therapy and equine therapy. A dual diagnosis track helps clients develop coping skills for co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Aftercare options are also offered.
