Sunrise Recovery Ranch

Sunrise Recovery Ranch

ABOUT SUNRISE RECOVERY RANCH

Based in Riverside, the birthplace of California’s citrus industry, Sunrise Recovery Ranch provides residential treatment for adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The center accommodates both men and women, and provides much of its treatment in gender-specific environments. On-site detox is also available.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Clients experiencing withdrawal symptoms upon admission begin their stay with a period of detoxification, which typically lasts between three and five days. Detox is medically monitored, and clients have around-the-clock access to medical personnel.

Once stabilized, clients begin the program’s 30-day treatment program. Most therapy is provided in gender-specific process groups designed to help clients work through issues underlying their substance abuse. Clients discuss topics including anger management, spirituality, communication, and relapse prevention, and attend educational lectures. Other key treatment components include aftercare planning, 12-step work, outdoor activities, and sober fun. Clients often travel off-site for bowling, hiking, and movie nights.

Following residential treatment, clients may move into partial hospitalization programming (PHP) and then intensive outpatient programming as they transition back into everyday life.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

According to the facility’s website, the center offers a staff-to-client ratio of 2:1. The detox staff includes a physician and nurses, and the clinical staff is led by a certified drug and alcohol counselor and a master’s level therapist.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

The center’s six-bedroom ranch is located in the foothills of Riverside’s mountains. The homelike facility offers panoramic views of the surrounding nine-acre property, and clients eat their chef-prepared meals in a family-style dining area. Clients have access to a swimming pool and may use the local gym four days per week. Regular softball games are held on-site.

Sunrise Recovery Ranch Reviews

I just want to come on here and leave a review for Manuel Reyes Senior Also known as Manny Because he has always been there for me even after leaving treatment at sunrise ranch and the love and passion he gives and shows is to every single person is remarkable. His groups are real and always meaningful. If it wasn’t for him and his love and passion for people to stay sober and work through our problems It would of been difficult for me to stay in treatment. He was always there when I needed him always listened and gave advice that I needed and was sincere about.
I had a very great experience with Manny. He is incredibly kind, insightful and funny. The experiences he has gone through are truly why I hang on every word, and his amount of time sober is why I try my best to remember them. There is plenty good to be said about sunrise but Manny stands out both as a mentor and a friend.
I never leave reviews but this is something that can’t go unsaid! There is one individual that has beyond integrity and characteristics of no other! Manny’s Reyes Sr. compassion and kindness arises by day while his loving with harmony settles at night! Someone that will believe in you while no one else does!! The conversations in which he contains are realistic and helpful in the real world !! I consider him more than just a worker he is a savior of all men who walk behind these doors!
Strengths: people who care, good food, fair treatment and policies. Lots of snacks and coffee. They take good care of you and if you let them they will help you. A weakness includes the communication between administrators, staff and clients. This is not a posh facility, but for what 99% of people need, it is perfect. I haven't met someone in recovery to whom I would not recommend Sunrise. It was the best decision I have ever made.
It was great.
