ABOUT KAISER PERMANENTE FIRST STREET MEDICAL OFFICES – FRESNO
With more than 600 medical facilities across California, Kaiser Permanente is the largest integrated, managed healthcare organization in the United States. Kaiser Permanente’s First Street Medical Offices in Fresno, Calif. is a private nonprofit facility, which make up about 53 percent of all treatment facilities in California, and it provides outpatient programs for adults, adolescents, and families who are struggling with addiction and is one of the 720 (54.9 percent) of California treatment centers that offers treatment to individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders and also has an on-site pharmacy.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to Kaiser Permanente’s website, Kaiser Permanente’s Chemical Dependency Recovery Program (CDRP) is designed to assist clients in obtaining and maintaining long-term sobriety.
Programming includes group counseling, educational classes, and life skills training, clients develop coping techniques and strategize to prevent relapse.
Although the Fresno location does not provide emergency psychiatric treatment, mental health services are available by appointment. Services typically run Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with additional groups and classes taking place after hours as well.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Kaiser Permanente’s website notes it employs psychiatrists, addiction medicine physicians, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, medical social workers, and
psychiatric clinical nurse specialists. However, it’s not clear what staff is available at each location.
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
The loved one polled by Best-rehabs.com to date provided a positive review, and four out of five stars for counseling options, its staff’s level of training and experience, and when asked if they would recommend Kaiser Permanente. Citing family involvement as a facility strength, they described the program as “very family oriented.”
To date, the 15 people to leave Google Reviews gave an average of 4.6 out of five stars, and mostly positive commentary.[1] Reviewers praised the treatment team. “They are really helpful here,” an individual wrote in a representative review. “The doctors take care of you how a patient should be taken care of. They also have a pharmacy in the first floor.”
The eight people to leave Yelp reviews at the time of this writing gave an average of 2.5 out of five stars, and mixed feedback.
WHAT STAFF SAY
Best-rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s staff members, yet a drug education coordinator who worked here shared their enthusiasm with Glassdoor, writing: “Best company I have ever worked for. Just wish Kaiser was everywhere!”[3] Altogether, there are more than six thousand reviews for Kaiser Permanente on Glassdoor, most of which are for other locations and departments, which average 3.9 out of five stars.
