ABOUT TLC IN SANTA CRUZ, CA

The Lotus Collaborative, based in Santa Cruz, California, offers outpatient treatment and transitional housing to individuals aged 14 and above who are struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, orthorexia, and disordered eating. In addition, we also have an outpatient treatment facility in San Francisco.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The Lotus Collaborative’s treatment program is described on our website as one that combines soulful and scientific approaches, incorporating evidence-based skill techniques and deep psychospiritual processes. To be considered for admission, clients can schedule a free admission consultation through phone, email, or our website. The typical duration of treatment is three to six months, with a minimum treatment commitment of thirty days.

During the course of treatment, clients receive a wide range of therapies and counseling, including interpersonal, family, and group therapy, nutritional counseling and meal support, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing. Moreover, families have the opportunity to participate in weekly support groups at our facility. We also offer unique holistic treatments such as yoga therapy. After successfully completing the program, all clients are eligible for aftercare services and our free weekly recovery support group.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The treatment team at The Lotus Collaborative consists of a clinical director, registered dietitian, therapists, medical consultants, and recovery coaches.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

The Lotus Collaborative’s outpatient facility is housed in a Victorian home adorned with bohemian designs and vibrant colors. Additionally, our transitional housing facility, the Mermaid House, is located one mile from the outpatient location. It offers shared bedrooms, an outdoor deck, cable TV, wifi, and proximity to the beach. The Mermaid House extends a supportive living environment, not only for participants of our outpatient programs but also for individuals who require a supportive setting for post-treatment recovery. Residents of the Mermaid House engage in weekly house meetings and have access to a life coach for two sessions per week at the residence.

While the anonymous reviewer gave the facility excellent reviews in various categories, they expressed that it wasn’t the best fit for them due to their need for movement and freedom.
