While the center is highly regarded for its excellent anesthesia-assisted rapid detoxification, alternative medical opioid detoxification methods are also available. Patients are admitted to a private room in a fully accredited hospital for a few days, followed by additional days at our exclusive recovery retreat.
ABOUT WAISMANN METHOD
Located in Beverly Hills, California, just 45 minutes south of Los Angeles, the Waismann Method provides rapid detoxification from opiates such as heroin in a hospital setting. The center offers medically-managed detoxification, followed by aftercare at an exclusive recovery center owned by the center.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment plans are tailored to meet the needs of each individual and are based on a comprehensive assessment that evaluates medical history, level of drug use, and other relevant factors. Prior to admission into the hospital, clients must complete an assessment, which generally takes one to two days and entails a physical examination, toxicology screening, and a chest x-ray.
During the rapid detoxification procedure, clients are placed under sedation for 30 to 90 minutes. The following day, clients remain at the hospital to receive further medical care. For individuals unable to undergo sedation, an intermediate care option may be utilized.
Aftercare services at Domus Retreat include individual psychotherapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, and yoga. Clients have the option to pay an additional fee for private yoga sessions, personal training, psychiatrist consultations, and other services.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
At the Waismann Method, a medical director with over 20 years of detoxification experience leads the team. The hospital also employs a psychotherapist and other board-certified physicians.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

At the Domus Retreat, clients will reside in private rooms equipped with a TV/DVD player and bathroom suites. Clients have access to basic toiletries, laundry services, a pool and jacuzzi, a billiard room, and receive 24-hour care. Transportation to and from the airport and hospital is arranged for clients. The center’s chefs create healthy meals tailored to each client’s dietary needs.
