ABOUT BRIDGE TO AWARENESS COUNSELING CENTER
Located in Colorado Springs, Colo., Bridge to Awareness Counseling Center provides a variety of services for teens and adults who are struggling with addiction or mental illness. Services include outpatient treatment for substance abuse, counseling for addictions that are not drug- or alcohol-related , and substance abuse intervention.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Prior to beginning treatment, potential clients receive an initial consultation with one of Bridge to Awareness Counseling Center’s staff members. Based on the outcome of this initial appointment, clients may begin undergoing outpatient therapy for addiction, substance abuse, or mental health concerns, including anxiety and depression. According to the facility’s website, addiction and substance abuse counseling is intended to be highly individualized and based on each client’s needs and goals. The treatment team strives to provide compassionate care and maintain a warm, welcoming environment.
The Teen Substance Abuse Treatment program is specifically designed to meet the needs of teens who are struggling with alcohol or drug addiction. Therapists utilize evidence-based strategies and techniques to help adolescents understand the negative consequences of substance abuse, and how to break the cycle of addiction.
Additionally, substance abuse intervention services are available to friends and family members who wish to confront their loved ones about their addictions. Counselors lead the intervention process as part of a group.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY
When asked how likely they were to recommend the facility to others, the one alum polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing provided an average rating of four out of five stars. This anonymous respondent gave the center’s treatment effectiveness three stars and provided four-star ratings for the center’s counseling options, the facility’s cleanliness, the program’s affordability, and the staff’s level of training and experience. “Well trained,caring,and helpful,” they wrote. However, the alum awarded both the center’s holistic offerings and its family participation just one star.
On third-party review sites, Bridge to Awareness Counseling Center received mostly negative reviews. Nine Google users provided an average rating of 2.1 out of five stars. Former clients complained about rude staff, unclean conditions, and questionable billing practices. “The facility is disgusting and dirty. The staff do not like their jobs and also are treated horribly by management,” Michael wrote in a representative review. Despite mostly negative reviews, two reviewers indicated that their treatment was helpful.
Two Yellowpages.com reviewers were similarly unimpressed with the facility and provided one-star ratings. “They care more about collecting money from you than treatment. Staff is rude, unprofessional and the building is old and dirty,” Marie wrote.
