Our philosophy is founded in the belief of addiction as the result of deeper, underlying core issues. And thus, we believe the most permanent, effective, and efficient way to heal, is to figure out the why behind the addictive behaviors. Whether you are dealing with an undiagnosed chemical imbalance, or having difficulty resolving deep seated issues from your past, A Bridge to Growth’s individualized treatment style will help to uncover the source behind your substance abuse.
ABOUT A BRIDGE TO GROWTH
On a pretty, tree-lined street in a commercial neighborhood on the outskirts of Florida’s Everglades, A Bridge to Growth offers residential and outpatient care for adolescents and adults struggling with problematic substance use and dual diagnosis. Treatment is available in Spanish and English.
Medical detox is not available on-site, so prospective clients should arrive in a medically stable state.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
A Bridge to Growth is built around the philosophy that addiction is a symptom of deeper problems. As such, each program is individualized to treat the client’s core issues, whether that means unresolved trauma or medical or biophysical problems. The center’s online materials emphasize that treatment is non-confrontational and focuses on positive motivational influences and fostering confidence. This seems to include a distancing from traditional methodologies that might be seen as confrontational.
The program is billed as multimodal and multidimensional, addressing the spiritual, mental and physical elements of addiction. Mental health is treated through a range of offerings such as psychoeducation; extensive group therapy; a range of mental-health therapies, including modalities designed to treat dual diagnosis, trauma, and attachment disorders; and marriage and family therapy.
The spiritual and physical components of addiction are treated through a broad spectrum of experiential and holistic therapies. A Bridge to Growth provides art and music therapy, as well as exercise and wellness offerings such as massage therapy and chiropractic and osteopathic medicine. Holistic options include spiritual counseling, nutritional counseling, yoga, and mindfulness.
At multi-family therapy groups, families process past pain and investigate family roles, patterns, and expectations, with a view to healing and making space for healthy, sober family interactions.. The facility notes that outpatient programs are offered, but does not give program specifics.
